In 2013 Fall, DotKids Foundation visited Brussels and Strasbourg for a few times to visit all members of the European Parliament (MEP) offices and discuss the DotKids initiatives. We have successfully got more than 230 signatories from the MEPs to support the establishment a kids-friendly internet of “.kids” protected by the principles of UNCRC.
We also organized a roundtable with MEPs and guests from Child Online Protection initiative (COP) of International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Insafe Network, eNACSO, Children Lobbyist of Switzerland and Children Representatives from Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassadors Program to discuss the urgent need of having a safe internet for kids safeguarded by the community members.
